Annual Salary: $29,000-$31,000 per annum

Reporting Supervisor: Chief Operations Officer  

Probationary Period: 6 months

 

Job Description  

​

Job Purpose: Join Experience Turks and Caicos as a Receptionist in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. As the first point of contact for our visitors and clients, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive first impression of our organization. 

​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails promptly and professionally.

  • Provide information and assistance to tourists and clients regarding our services, attractions, and activities.

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

  • Manage appointments, reservations, and bookings accurately.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.

  • Handle inquiries, complaints, and requests with patience and diplomacy.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and a seamless customer experience.

  • Stay updated on local events, attractions, and tourism-related information.

  • Uphold the organization's values and image through exceptional customer service. 

 

Skills/Qualifications/Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or tourism is a plus.

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in using office software and equipment, including computers and phone systems.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Knowledge of Turks and Caicos Islands attractions and tourism offerings is desirable.

  • Professional appearance and a friendly, approachable demeanor. 

 

Working Conditions:

  • Engage with tourists, government agents, and tourism industry stakeholders.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
