Reporting Supervisor: Chief Operations Officer  

Probationary Period: 6 months  

 

Job Description

 

 Job Purpose: Join Experience Turks and Caicos as a Customer Service Representative in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands. This role is your gateway to providing exceptional service to cruise ship guests and contributing to our mission of creating unforgettable tourism experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcome and assist cruise ship visitors at the Cruise Center.

  • Offer precise information on accommodations, attractions, activities, dining, and transportation.

  • Disseminate tourism materials including brochures, magazines, and more.

  • Address guest concerns promptly and provide recommendations for solutions.

  • Build positive relationships with tourism partners, cruise ship personnel, immigration, customs officers, taxi drivers, and car rental agents.

  • Continuously update your knowledge of tourism products, programs, activities, and events.

  • Assist in resolving customer service situations and suggest enhancements for the cruise terminal's customer experience.

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.  

 

Skills/Qualifications/Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two years of relevant customer service experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of the Turks and Caicos Islands tourism product.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and leadership qualities.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Good health and high energy level.  

 

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible work arrangement between the office and Cruise Center.

  • Engage with tourists, government agents, and tourism industry stakeholders.

  • Ability to travel locally between office and Cruise Port, and regionally/internationally as needed.

  • Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
